The beans are soaked in cold water from evening until the next day. Change the water and bring to the boil. After boiling, pour the water, put another hot water and boil for about an hour on the right heat together with the bay leaves.
Onions and carrots are cleaned and washed. Finely chop the onion and slice the carrots and put them in oil until soft. Cut the sausages into pieces of large size and fry a little together with the onion and carrots. Add the tomato sauce, season with salt and pepper and simmer for about five minutes.
Pour the tomato sauce over the beans and let them boil together for a quarter of an hour. Serve with hot peppers if you like.
