Couscous with red beans and pickles

Preserved red beans and couscous, hydrated in boiled water with dried vegetables and a little coconut oil, combined perfectly with the pickles in my pantry.
An aromatic, tasty and very filling fasting dish came out!

  • 100 g couscous
  • 100 ml of water
  • 1 teaspoon, topped, coconut oil, solid
  • 1 teaspoon dried vegetables Sano Vita
  • 400 g canned red beans
  • 3 pickles
  • 4 slices of pickled donuts
  • a few slices of pickled carrots

RECIPE PREPARATION Couscous with red beans and pickles:

We put the couscous in a bowl. Boil the water together with the dried vegetables. Let it boil for 2-3 boils, then turn off the heat. Add the coconut oil, stir until it melts and pour everything over the couscous in the bowl. Mix the couscous well, so that it is still moistened with water and let it hydrate, covering the bowl with a lid. Stir occasionally in the bowl to hydrate the couscous evenly. Drain the red beans from the liquid they were in and pass them through a stream of cold water. Drain the pickles and carrots and slice them thinly, and cut the donuts into small strips. Mix the beans with the pickles and then add the hydrated couscous, which has cooled in the meantime. No need to add salt or other spices, because we have pickles that are salty and possibly slightly spicy. We can add a little greenery, parsley, dill, basil leaves, for extra freshness, but we have among the dried vegetables and a little dried greenery. Dried vegetables and coconut oil give good taste to the couscous and pleasant aromas. We can serve the simple dish, because it is full and can take the place of any meal. We can even take it as a package, constituting the meal at work.

Gouda cheese

Quesadilla with red beans and sweet potatoes - Preparation

Peel the sweet potatoes, cut them into cubes, season with salt, pepper, paprika, sprinkle with olive oil, put 2-3 cloves of garlic in the peel and bake in a tray lined with baking paper at 220 degrees C for 25 min.

When they are ready, crush them with a fork together with the cloves of baked garlic and lemon juice to taste.
Grease the tortilla sheet with a little olive oil and place in a grill pan.

Spread a layer of sweet potatoes, canned red beans and grated gouda cheese on top.
Place another sheet of tortilla on top and press with a spatula or by hand.

Return after the tortilla sheet has browned and become crispy, leave for 1 minute on the other side.
Portion with a knife and eat hot, plain or with guacamole.

For a quick guacamole, mash the avocado pulp with a fork, add finely chopped onion, lemon juice, crushed garlic, olive oil, diced tomato pulp, parsley or green coriander, salt and pepper.

Today I prepared a delicious snack, similar to rice pudding but much tastier: couscous with milk and vanilla. I had on the fire a big pot of fresh milk, delivered this morning by a lady who does not shy away from hard work in the country: she has two cows with an extraordinarily tasty milk.

For 2-3 servings I used:
- half a cup of couscous
- a cup of sweet milk
- a teaspoon of vanilla sugar
- a little butter, about half a teaspoon


I was glad that the milk was hot, the snack would be ready in a maximum of 5 minutes.
I melted the butter in a small saucepan and hardened the couscous in it. Of course you can skip this stage, I did so because Stefan seems to like it more in this version. After browning, pour a cup of hot milk, cover and allow to swell. of envy, until it softens completely. The couscous is a bit drunk, so he drank a lot of milk, I think I could add a little more. Extinguish envy with a teaspoon of vanilla sugar and serve with pleasure.

  5. Prepare a corner of fresh bread and spread tactfully in the sauce formed. When you lick your fingers look around a bit, so that not many people see you. :))

As the promotion started a few days before the National Day, the idea caught hundreds of pots and pans full of delicious bean sticks, queuing in front of the PRO TV headquarters.
Recipe original of ciolan beans was created by army cooks and is considered by soldiers to be the tastiest food in the world. It is prepared in large quantities and served with pickles.
If you ever have the opportunity to taste this goodness, prepared in car kitchens, rest assured that you will not regret it. I have eaten many times and now I will give you the recipe that my chefs made, this delicious dish and much appreciated by all the world.


We need :

500 g dried beans
1 kg smoked ciolan
1 onion
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 green bell pepper
1 red
3-4 cloves of garlic
1 blueberry leaf
thyme
pepper
smoked paprika
salt
1-2 tablespoons red pasta (I put donut pasta)
green parsley





Method of preparation :

The beans are kept in salted water from evening to morning. Then wash in more water and put to boil, over low heat, in salted water, in a pressure cooker, for about 50 minutes or about 2-3 hours in a regular pot (it depends on the beans).

Boil the ciolan over low heat, frothing from time to time, until the meat comes off the bone. After the meat has boiled, we take it out of the juice in which it boiled and let it cool. We kept the juice in which he boiled the meat for a delicious soup.

While the beans are boiling, finely chop the onion, tomato and pepper, and put the garlic in the press.

Let it boil for a few more minutes, then we can put out the fire.


Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top.
Ciolanul, after it has cooled down a bit and we can handle it, we cut it into portions and serve it with the pre-prepared beans.
Smoked beans are served with a traditional pickle salad.
